Why Our Kittens Are Raised in Our Home

At Pawz and Purz Maine Coons, our kittens are raised right in the heart of our home.

We believe the environment a kitten grows up in plays an important role in shaping who they become. From their earliest days, our kittens are surrounded by the normal sights, sounds, and routines of family life.

They hear conversations, household noises, footsteps, doors opening, and all the everyday activity that comes with living in a home. This helps them become comfortable with the world around them and prepares them for life with their future families.

Being raised in our home also means we are able to spend a great deal of time with each kitten. We watch their personalities develop, learn what makes each one feel secure, and give them plenty of gentle handling, affection, and playtime.

Some kittens are confident explorers from the beginning. Others prefer to observe before joining in. By spending time with them every day, we are able to support each kitten in the way that works best for them.

Our kittens also grow up alongside their mother and littermates. These relationships teach them important lessons about communication, boundaries, sharing, and appropriate play. Their mother guides them, while their siblings help them build confidence and social skills.

Raising kittens in our home is not always tidy or quiet. It means toys on the floor, tiny paws underfoot, and plenty of curious little faces watching everything we do. But we would not have it any other way.

Our goal is to raise kittens who are not only beautiful, but also loving, confident, and comfortable being part of a family.

By the time they leave us, they have already experienced what it means to be deeply loved.
